Tonight, two improv teams will be on a quest for your vote with the winner walking away with a performance slot in the upcoming Providence Improv Fest! Whether you have a friend competing, love seeing improv or enjoy a nice robust taste of power this is going to be a great night! Door Waffle won’t be competing for your vote but they’ll still be on the prowl for your laughs and adoration. As always, $5 will get you in the door to see a full night of comedy made up on the spot!
Competing for your vote and a spot in the 16th Annual Providence Improv Fest:
Barbago-A husband and wife duo that reads lines from a random book and then does improv based on it.
Objectified-Objectified got its start at Battle for Your Bacon at the Providence Improv Guild in November 2018. The group started with 2 students and 1 experienced performer. After performing at the finals, the group continued to do shows every month at PIG, evolving its format, and growing the team. The Objects (as we call ourselves) take inspiration from the physicality of things, as well as the cultural stereotypes we often associate with things.
Door Waffle features Jake Goldman and Annika Beth Goldman. Yep, they’re married and they dare you to do something about it! These two met in New York where they both trained and performed improv and sketch comedy. Now, this funny, fast-paced, award-winning duo is in Rhode Island and not to be missed!
